A
computer virus or hacker can ruin a successful business in seconds.
If you are lucky it will only cost you your latest changes since
you MADE YOUR LAST REMOTE BACKUP. But if not you
could lose months of hard labor and successful marketing. If your
web site is down it is just like hanging a sign on a local merchants
store saying GOOD BYE I HAVE CLOSED UP SHOP. Many
people remember bad clicks ...especialy the ones they sit there
and wait more than normal and only get a white screen that says
this site can not be found. So whether you are using a hosting service
are not if you are going into business you must know what the hackers
don't want you to know.
Virus
creators (usually hackers) prey upon innocent individuals who do
not fully understand how to secure their computer. Don't
allow these thieves to access your private information, cause you
financial loss, severe stress, data loss, or down-time. Learn
how to protect yourself.
Email
SPAM and Virus Solutions
The
most common method that hackers use to get into your computer is
through e-mail. I have found that running a business it requires
more than one e-mail address. I use one e-mail that I give to no
one that my payments are processed through. I use another e-mail
address that I post on the sites for specific areas of interest.
The last e-mail address is for known customers who make a purchase.
I have it set up and at the time of the purchase I inform then that
as a customer we are providing them with our personal correspondence
for customers only. This way all e-mail I get in that box I know
is important. I use two more for general use. One is for advertising
purposes, never give your important e-mail address to an advertiser.
Many of them create databases of know e-mail address and later you
will get thousands of e-mail from them They use your information
for advertising and they will also sell that information to other
advertisers. The last I never read except at the time I do a web
site submit to search engines. If you do multiple submits your e-mail
box will overrun with junk.
A
good way to avoid overrunning your server capacity and it helps
to block out unwanted mail is to use a separate service like Mailblocks.

as one!
3
Easy Steps To Rock-Solid Virus Protection was professionally
written by Steven Boehm. Steven has spent numerous years in
the computer industry as a technician. He has removed countless
numbers of viruses from computers.
Yes,
the information contained in this book can be found all over the
web, however, other books and online information about viruses
and hackers are flooded with high-tech terminology.
"Throughout
my years of experience as a computer technician I have encountered
many good people who were victimized by viruses and security
holes. These nice folks researched computer security but were
confused by the high-tech computer jargon. After I explained what
they did wrong in simple, easy-to-understand language I didn't
have to charge them another steep repair bill in the future for
the same problem."
